Calling all wine lovers! Eat, drink and learn about wines from around the world at the 2019 Lake Geneva Festival of Wine at Grand Geneva Resort and Spa (just 90 minutes north of Chicago and 45 minutes south of Milwaukee). An entire weekend, April 5 – 7, of vintage entertainment is planned for all wine enthusiasts, from social wine drinkers to sommeliers, including:
- [New!] Enjoy food samples paired with wines from different regions!
- [New!] Blue Chip Wine Dinner – Savor top of the line wines with a reception followed by four courses of delicious food prepared by Grand Geneva’s Executive Chef Nelly Buleje. $125 per person (includes tax and gratuity).
- [New!] Chef Lunch Demo – watch Executive Chef Nelly Buleje make lunch with wine
- Grand Tasting – Saturday, April 6 from 4-6pm. $85 per person
- VIP Tasting – Saturday, April 6 from 3-6pm. $110 per person
- Expert seminars $25 per person or 1 included with package stay:
- Wine & Beef – sponsored by the Wisconsin Beef Council, Meat Expert Nick Vorpagel from Lake Geneva Country Meats, and Certified Wine Specialist Brian McAlister share their knowledge with you. Try a leaner USDA Select cut of meat, a moderate USDA Choice cut of meat, and a rich USDA Choice cut of meat while pairing them with 3 different wines.
- Wine & Cheese – Owner of Hill Valley Dairy, Ron Henningfield, will pair his wonderful local cheeses with local wines. Taste why things that grow together go together!
- Wine & Chocolate – Do we need to say anymore? Taste wines with the best chocolate coming out of Milwaukee. Julie Waterman of Indulgence Chocolates tells you why this combo is considered the classic pairing.
- Experience Argentina – This is the closest you can get to the Andes without actually going! Certified Specialist of Wine Jamie Boldt of Winesellers, Ltd. will guide you through an educational tasting of some of Argentina’s finest family owned wineries.
- Paint N’ Sip: Let out your inner artist. Enjoy a glass of wine while participating in a step-by-step painting tutorial, then take it home. $45 per person
- Yoga and Mimosas – Start the morning with a relaxing yoga session and a mimosa. All skill levels are welcome to relax and learn about the health benefits of wine. $15 per person
- Nature Walk – Enjoy a guided morning hike along the White River Trail. Take a breath of clean country air and enjoy the sights and sounds of the outdoors before all of the wine tasting begins. Complimentary
- Bubbles Inspired Brunch – End the weekend on a high note with our Sunday Champagne Brunch in Geneva ChopHouse from 10am-2pm. Extra bubbly drinks will be served in honor of Lake Geneva Festival of Wine Weekend! $44.95 per person
