The Jeanie Madsen Gallery on Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica was a mecca for the artists she represented and for the public which jammed the place for her every event. The fashion boutique tucked away inside featured striking clothing and accessories from distinctive designers, including her own JMD line of wearable art.

Madsen’s edgy, original, limited edition ready-to-wear designs were seen on celebrities like Eve LeRue, Maria, and Sharon Stone.

A competitive athlete herself and her love for sports, in particularly the NBA, influenced her current line of wearable pop culture. For Jeanie “Exercise is fun especially when sporting a great outfit.”

Jeanie’s design career has taken her from the garment district in New York City to studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology where she focused on styling and wardrobe for film, television and print. Her first professional work included a stint as head costumer for a Disneyworld Tour. Her retail work at Bloomingdale’s in LA led to her first design client followed a few years later by her first order from a high end boutique on Main Street in Santa Monica California.
