In a season of flowers and vibrant hues, Kaufman Franco kept it perfectly simple. Focusing on black, white and nude with only pops of color, Franco turned the traditional spring/summer fashion show on its head.

It might have been a fall show if not for the sexy slits and cutouts. Showcased in an array of shorts, mini dresses and bathing suit separates, this collection was urban downtown prep. He even made skinny jeans and maxi dresses look original with clean lines and detailed draping.

Orange seemed to be the color of the season, with multiple designers using the energetic shade, but none perhaps, as well as Franco. His three vivid orange looks were the bright spot in his collection, and the perfect introduction for his finale white evening gowns.

Thick black headbands, which were all the rage at last season as well, kept his looks streamlined and classic. The lack of accessories and use of nude heels served only to provide a blank canvas to further highlight the clothing.
