Branch 27 is a rustic American bistro located in Chicago’s West Town Neighborhood. With a high Zagat rating of 20 and plenty of positive reviews on Yelp and Google, this timeless restaurant is getting the hype it deserves.

Residing in the old 27th Ward Library, customers can expect handcrafted wooden furnishes, weathered brick walls, and a 20’ x 20’ glass atrium that provides natural lighting in the back. The rustic ambiance couples great with the large beer selection as well as the extensive wine list.

The food is reasonably priced and exceptionally crafted, with specials ranging from Monday’s mussels and a beer for $13, to Sunday’s Cassoulet dinner and a glass of wine for only $18.

Branch 27 also offers a unique opportunity of a four course “beer pairing” meal. Taking place on the last Wednesday of every month, each beer is chosen specifically for a meal that compliments the dish.

Having nine beers on tap along with a much larger selection of microbrew bottles (local Two Brothers, and Goose Island), these delectable pairings show the creativity and dedication Branch 27 has, making it one more reason why the Chicago Reader named it one of “The Best New Restaurants” in Chicago (2010).
